It’s that ridiculous time of year again. In my head the children have literally just gone back to school and we’ve almost nailed the art of leaving the house on time in the morning, and then suddenly it is half term tomorrow. In the meantime there has been conker collecting and label sewing and ordering and thinking and school runs and dog walks.... but the main thing is the sales. What will sell? How much to order? How to display? I am by no means and expert and in a way it is an experiment every time, a day of playing shop. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes at these Christmas sales, with participants and organisers wanting, or rather needing, for it to be a roaring success every time. There’s the sourcing, the checking, the admin, the elf and safety lunacy, the flyering, emailing, packing, steaming etc etc.
So here is to all the stall holders, organisers and shoppers in the next few weeks of mayhem. May your sales go well and and your Christmas present buying by inspired, original and joyful!
